CertifierTypeVS

Type of certifier for a death record. Corresponds to the allowed values for item 45 of the U.S. Standard Certificate of Death.

ContributoryTobaccoUseVS

The extent to which tobacco use contributed to the person’s death. Corresponds to the allowed values for item 35 of the U.S. Standard Certificate of Death.

DispositionTypeVS

Method of disposition of decedent’s remains. Corresponds to the allowed values for item 18 of the U.S. Standard Certificate of Death.

EducationVS

Decedent’s education. Corresponds to the allowed values for item 51 of the U.S. Standard Certificate of Death. Most of the codes in this value set belong to the PHIN VS code system but this is not currently supported as a standard FHIR code system.

MannerOfDeathVS

Manner of death. Corresponds to the allowed values for item 37 of the U.S. Standard Certificate of Death.

PlaceOfDeathTypeVS

Place of decedent’s demise. Corresponds to the allowed values for item 14 of the U.S. Standard Certificate of Death.

PregnancyStatusVS

Whether the decedent was pregnant at or around the time of death. Corresponds to the allowed values for item 36 of the U.S. Standard Certificate of Death. Most of the codes in this value set belong to the PHIN VS code system but this is not currently supported as a standard FHIR code system.

TransportRelationshipsVS

Transportation Relationships (NCHS). Corresponds to the allowed values for item 44 of the U.S. Standard Certificate of Death.
