AutopsyPerformed Observation

Whether an autopsy was performed (true) or not (false). Corresponds to item 33 of the U.S. Standard Certificate of Death.

AutopsyResultsAvailable Observation

Were autopsy findings available to complete the cause of death? Corresponds to item 34 of the U.S. Standard Certificate of Death.

CauseOfDeathCondition Condition

A condition that resulted in the underlying cause of death. Corresponds to part 1 of item 32 of the U.S. Standard Certificate of Death. Other significant conditions that contributed to death but did not lead to the underlying cause of death should be captured using a ContributedToDeathCondition.

Certifier Practitioner

The certifier of the death record. Corresponds to items 45, 46, 47, 48 and 49 of the U.S. Standard Certificate of Death.

ContributedToDeathCondition Condition

A significant condition that contributed to death but did not result in the underlying cause captured by a CauseOfDeathCondition. Corresponds to part 2 of item 32 of the U.S. Standard Certificate of Death.

An identifier for the decedent.

Decedent Patient

The subject of the death record (the decedent). Extensions are used to capture additional information from the U.S. Standard Certificate of Death where the Patient resource does not include an equivalent property.

Condition Condition

A disorder, abnormality, problem, injury, complaint, risk, functionality, concern, illness, disease, ailment, sickness, affliction, upset, difficulty, disorder, symptom, worry, or trouble. A ConditionPresent finding implies the existence of a condition as an entity. ‘Condition’ is interpreted broadly to cover states of existence - things the patient is or has.

Entry DomainResource

Metadata attributes that apply to any item represented in the standard health record. An Entry may not belong exclusively to a single person’s health record, but could represent an entity that surfaces in multiple records, such as organizations or practitioners. If the entry belongs to a single person’s record, then the identity of the person of record must be recorded.

Observation Observation

Base class for observations (measurements, tests, or questions) and a value containing the result (answer). The subject of a finding can be the entire patient, or an entity such as a location body structure, intervention, or condition. Things observed about the subject can include social and behavioral factors, subjective and objective observations, and assessments.

PostalAddress Address

An address expressed using postal conventions (as opposed to GPS or other location definition formats). This data type may be used to convey addresses for use in delivering mail as well as for visiting locations and which might not be valid for mail delivery.
